To Be or Not to Be.

The Past
Invoked
Time and again.
Did it bubble up?

Or did I call it this time?

Show me your mask,
And then the face

Behind the mask.

Those tears must be real.

A mask cannot cry.

Then cry little one
And this time be heard
.
This time be fulfilled

With your own tears.

This little one must feel

Everything

To be real.

  1. Superb. So true and so succinctly stated. A stand-out poem.

  2. This is nice. I read it twice and each time got more meaning. The past can teach us, or if we let it fool us.
